Abbott's Mill Nature Center
Thursday, July 11, before Music at the Mill, local children’s author Aimee Isaac will be at Abbott's Mill Nature Center for a book signing: The Planet We Call Home. There are two sessions, 3:00 pm and a second at 4:00 pm where Aimee will emphasize the messages in her book, particularly protecting our environment. One lucky participant will receive a complimentary copy of Aimee’s newest book. Come join us at Abbott’s Mill for this family-friendly event. Don't forget, Music at the Mill begins at 5:00 pm.
9th Annual Chesapeake Children's Book Festival
On Saturday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Talbot County Free Library, in Easton, will host the 9th Annual Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival. The Festival is a one-day, rain or shine, free event that celebrates children and the joy of reading. CCBF9 is the kick-off event for the library’s Summer Reading Program. Children who sign up and attend the festival will receive a voucher good for one free book (while supplies last) from the attending author of their choice. There will be 22 children’s book authors and illustrators. Some authors will give readings from their books and there will be crafts, displays, entertainment, and giveaways. It will be a fun-filled day for all.

Event with Laurel Public Library
Join the Laurel Public Library for a celebration of reading as local author, Aimee Isaac reads her new book, The Planet We Call Home. The library is partnering with Macaroni Kids Sussex to have a craft and giveaways too! It will be fun and FREE for the whole family.
Celebrate Earth! A Virtual Picture Book Party
Extend Earth day to an Earth week this April by joining authors and illustrators from near and far for a virtual celebration of the planet we call home! Hosted by Red Balloon Bookshop, St. Paul in MN.
Tune in as we chat with these creatives about their new picture books, all united by nature themes! Red Balloon will ask the audience relevant, nature-related questions, and announce giveaways to a handful of lucky attendees! Giveaways include personalized copies of the discussed books (one book per winner) as well as a 30-minute zoom chat. The discussion will be followed by audience Q&A.

Order copies of the books below, and note that shipping is free for purchases of $50 or more! Registration ends at 5:00pm CT on April 26. Launch Event at the Lewes Library
In partnership with The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club and Browseabout Books, join us for an author event with local writer, Aimee Isaac. She will be reading from her debut picture book, The Planet We Call Home - a perfect story to get you excited about Earth Day later in April! After a reading and Q&A, Aimee will sign books, available for purchase from Browseabout, and The Zwaanendael Club will lead young participants through an earth-inspired activity of decorating pots and planting.
